Alexander Technique's classes are offered in
a quiet street in the Cosme Velho neighborhood in
Rio de Janeiro. The ample work studio is located
at an old house that was totally reformed in 1997.
Classes are from morning to night, Monday to Friday.
Each private lesson has a duration of 40 minutes.
It is advisable to take between one and two classes
a week.
Access
is easy by bus and parking is available for vehicles.
It is recommended by
the English Society (STAT), a minimum of 25 to 30
classes for the student to have conditions of putting
into practice the ideas learned during the lessons.
There are no contraindications or limit of age and
any one can practice The Alexander Technique.

Since 1996, UNI RIO - Universidade Federal
do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, has been offering an
extension course in the Alexander Technique, through
the Instituto Villa-Lobos ( music department) every
semester.
This course is open to
all interested in learning about this technique
of re-education of the self developed by F. M. Alexander
for over 100 years. In this semester two classes
will be offered. There will be a small number of
participants in the class so that more individual
attention can be given to each student.
Workload:
15 classes of 1hour and 40 minutes long
Length of the Course: From
March to July and from August to December, 2007
Classes: Every Thursday, from 11:00
to 12:40 and from 18:30 to 20:10
One-time Fee: R$ 300,00 for the community
in general and R$150,00 for students and professors
of the CLA

from ABTA

Roberto and Valeria, periodically in Portugal,
give classes, lectures, and workshops.
